What We Do

SPCA Fiji Islands

In 2018 Dr Khodakhah, BBR Secretary & veterinarian, along with SPCA FI co-Chair, Amanda Millar created an SPCA Outreach program "CLAW" to achieve a broader reach for their spay/neuter program. Animal over population is a profound problems and bringing free spay/neuter, deworming with flea and tick prevention helps significantly.

To date the CLAW program has spay/neutered close to 1700 animals during three, 10 day clinics. Clinics are focused around Suva the Capital, as well as the 9 villages of Bega Island in order to make maximal impact and to demonstrate effectiveness of the campaign. All 9 villages have had at least one SN clinic if not two. Villages favorably report several benefits noticed following the SN clinic including improved human-animal relationships and individual pet behavior improvements.
